Carnivorous Plant Soil Mix Woo Hoo … Dormancy is almost over and time for a “fresh bed of soil” !!! Your beloved carnivorous bug catchin’ plant had a busy time last year, looking pretty while ridding your home of some miscreant bugs. But … the days had turned shorter, and your plants are now taking a well-deserved rest. Yeah … they’re looking a bit scraggly during this dormancy period … lost some leaves and is a bit withered. But come springtime … little green shoots will start to emerge, and another nine months of fun will begin. Bring those miscreant’s on !!! Soil – a critical factor in a plants well-being. Carnivores must be one of the most soil sensitive plants. Water must be distilled or natural rainwater. Any “tds” in the water will bring it down. No fertilizer, heavy metal contamination, nutrients, and their soil must lean towards the acidic side … exactly like their natural habitat. And … that is one of the very reasons why we love them so much… If were easy ~ someone else would do it. The Product: Bay’s Carnivorous Soil Blend (No. 301) is pure and organic.
