African Violet Professional Quality Potting Mixes This listing is for an African Violet Seed Starting Mix I've hand blended and used over the years. It is a finely sifted mix required for good African Violet seed germination and will provide excellent germination if other required conditions are met. It is enough mix to start many seeds. All my mixes use professional quality components to help produce show quality plants. There are no chemical fertilizers or pesticides in the mixes but there is sphagnum peat, coarse perlite, dolomite limestone for pH stability, a wetting agent to improve water absorption, diatomaceous earth to discourage soil pests, m ycorrhizae to encourage nutrient uptake, and organics to encourage a healthy soil microbiome. The mix comes pre-moistened for easy watering. The seed starting mix may arrive compressed or separated due to shipping. Please give it a good mixing in a container of your choice before use.
