This listing is for two 3 Quart bags of chunky perlite. It is approved for organic growing and is OMRI (Organic Materials Research Institute) listed. The contents of this bag will fill approximately sixteen 4” pots. Most of the perlite pieces are the size of peppercorns. Perlite is a heat expanded volcanic mineral processed for horticultural users. Perlite contains a network of air spaces that provide excellent drainage and space for needed oxygen to get to your plant’s roots. It is an especially effective medium to add to potting soil that is staying too wet for too long. Perlite is also commonly used in rooting and seed starting mixes. Perlite is a dusty product. This product does contain a typical amount of perlite dust. The playing card in the photos is for size comparison and is not included with the offering.
