The 50/25/25 mix of sphagnum peat moss, perlite and vermiculite is great for all kinds of plants. The pet moss is dry for shipping and needs to be hydrated by adding water before planting. The perlite provides good aeration, drainage and keeps the peat moss from compacting. Vermiculite provides aeration and waterholding properties. All three are OMRI and are listed as natural organic material.
